Travel Guidelines

Airline and Amtrak Minor Travel Policies

Please be advised that some airlines and Amtrak have policies that prohibit minors from boarding and/or being picked up after arrival without an adult present, and some of our students who are under 16 have already experienced issues due to these policies.

Stevenson does not have the resources to fulfill these expectations. For this reason, at this time we do not recommend booking tickets with companies that have these rules if your student is under 16, unless they will be traveling with someone over 18 and/or is being picked up by someone over 18, and you are able to provide this contact information at the time of booking.

Moving forward, if your child is under 16, we encourage you to make sure that you are aware of any policies regarding minors before you make travel arrangements with any company.

Transportation To and From Airports

From Stevenson

Shuttle buses depart to San Francisco (SFO) and San Jose (SJC) airports on the travel day of breaks. Prior sign-up for these shuttles is required.

To Stevenson

Return transportation from airports to Stevenson must be booked independently; we recommend using Monterey Airbus.
