Summer Learning

We have designed a program that offers consistency across grade levels, optional work to meet differentiated needs in literacy and math, and an all-School sensibility that includes themes we will review when we reconvene. The summer learning program includes:

  • Accountability charts and guidelines for daily reading practice
  • Review of math facts and concepts
  • “The Big Read,” which this summer focuses on the books of Linda Sue Park
  • BINGO options to invite curiosity and promote independent thinking and learning (K-4)
  • Spanish practice (rising grades 5-8)
  • Optional DreamBox and Lexia extensions (rising grades K-6)

We look forward to starting the 2023–24 school year with our students feeling prepared and excited about what new learning awaits. Please contact Kate Bitter, dean of lower division, or Anthony Schipper, dean of middle division, with any related ‌questions.
