Welcome to Kindergarten!
Welcome to Kindergarten! We are eager to begin an amazing year with you and your child. Kindergarten is a year full of exploration and curiosity. Students are given opportunities to explore their own interests and imaginations through role play, multi-sensory activities, and other targeted learning skills. Math and STEM are hands-on and inquiry-based, always starting with a question and encouraging students to ask questions of their own. Students in Kindergarten continue to strengthen and grow their reading skills with our Orton-Gillingham curriculum. This year, among a host of other subjects and skills, we will dive into addition and subtraction, historical figures, principles of engineering, gardening, and the solar system. We will be reading delightful stories within a wide range of genres, play math games, write personal narratives, and do art projects. And we will revel in the wonder of learning together. Kindergarten learners are full of hope and wonder, and so are we!
