Lower & Middle Divisions
- School photos and purchase information is now available on your Pirate Page. If you are interested in a photo retake on October 30, please let Jackie DiYanni know.
- If you are picking up your child outside of scheduled car line times, please sign your child out at the front desk. Please reach out to Jackie DiYanni with any questions.
- After School Programming: For safety reasons, parents who are not in the designated car line for pick-up, must check out with Maddy Springfield, Director of After School Programming, so that she can mark your child as departed. This includes parents who park on the street and walk down the green paths to grab their kids during car lines, or parents who come to get their child from free play before car line. Please note: If your child is signed up for an after school workshop, they are expected to be there. If your child misses three workshops, they will be moved to free play. This includes dismissing your child from a workshop earlier than the end time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Maddy Springfield.
- If your child will be away from school for a planned absence, you are required to complete an anticipated absence form at least two days prior to the scheduled absence. If this does not occur, the child's absence(s) will be considered unexcused. Please reach out to Jackie DiYanni, Nifemi Ogunsuyi (LD), or Scott Parker (MD) with any questions.
Middle Division
- The Middle Division has been meeting in advisory groups since school began. Last week, we started to delve into the Wayfinder curriculum. Wayfinder is a collaboration with CASEL and was created with the support of the Stanford Design School. Stevenson's mission is to help students live a joyful life and to practice and prepare for success in and out of school. Wayfinder identifies Six Core Skills for Future Ready Students: Self Awareness, Adaptability, Empathy, Collaboration, Agency and Purpose. We look forward to sharing more with parents as we go.
- Measure of Academic Achievement (MAP) makeup testing will be available for middle division students on Tuesday, October 1st, beginning at 7:45 a.m. in Room 1. Kate Bitter or Jamie Jameson will contact students and families who need to utilize this makeup time. We appreciate your support while we collect this information on each student.

- Community Curriculum for Grade 9: On Tuesday, October 1, we will meet with grade 9 students to discuss phones, electronics and social media. We will be looking at how much we are using our phones and understanding how social media and algorithms function. The Student Life team will lead grade 9 students through small breakout discussions to talk through ways we can be more aware of our habits surrounding our phones and social media consumption. In the afternoon, faculty will be offering de-stressing activities for all students (grades 9-12) to relax, decompress, and enjoy their afternoons together.
- PSAT/SAT/College Application Workday
- PSAT/NMSQT is on Tuesday, October 1. All grade 10 and 11 students are required to be on campus from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and we will have extracurricular activities after school, as usual. All day students are welcome. Seniors can work independently and/or in small groups on their college applications during this time. Co-directors of College Counseling, Martha Allen and Jon Burke, will be present to answer questions. All college counselors will be available throughout the day for one-on-one sessions, as well.
