Lower & Middle Divisions
- Please note that you will be able to view and order your child's photos on your Parent Pirate Page in 2 -3 weeks using your student's full 9-digit ID number (found on your pirate page) or by using the QR code slip sent home with your child on picture day. If you have any questions, please contact Jackie DiYanni.
- Our after-school workshops begin tomorrow. You should have received information regarding the workshops your child is enrolled in, based on the sign-up details. Students participating in the after-school program should have a snack and a water bottle. Please contact Maddy Springfield with any questions.
- Students should be picked up at their identified carline dismissal times. Pickup should not interrupt a school-sponsored activity. Parents/guardians must wait for children in the carline.
- Are you interested in hosting a Back to School Family Social? This is a great way to kick off the new school year, get reacquainted with friends and meet the new families in your class. Looking for one or two families to host this event per grade (PK-8). Please email [email protected] if you are interested.
Lower Division
- Students in grades 3 and 4 will participate in the Measure for Academic Progress (MAP) testing in Math and Reading for the fall testing window on Tuesday, September 17 (Math) and Thursday, September 19 (Reading). A family guide to MAP testing can be found here. Please let your child's teacher, or Kate Bitter our Director of Learning Support, know if you have any questions about the assessments and their administration.
- The Classroom Socials program provides an opportunity for families to join your child's classroom, view student work, and learn about classroom activities. It provides a valuable opportunity for families to engage with our instructional programming and see your child's progress and achievements alongside their peers. Please join us for our lower division September classroom social on the dates and times listed below:
- PK/Grade 2/ Grade 4 -September 18: 8:00-8:30 a.m.

- Tuesday, September 17, 7:00 p.m. P.T. Co-Directors of College Counseling, Martha Allen and Jon Burke, will host a virtual Senior Parent/Guardian College Night. Registration is available on your Pirate Page.
- Transition comments will be distributed Friday, September 20 only for students whose teachers have identified an early opportunity for growth. All students will then receive midterm comments in advance of Family Weekend.
- All grade 9 students will spend Sunday, September 22 and Monday, September 23 at Camp Koinonia in the Santa Cruz Mountains. More information, including the schedule of events and packing lists, can be found here and on your Pirate Page.
- On Monday, September 23, grades 10-12 will join forces with local organizations across the Monterey Peninsula for a Day of Service. Students will participate in various on-campus and peninsula-wide projects dedicated to giving back to the community. The day is required for all students, and they should arrive for an 8:30 a.m. advisory meeting where attendance will be taken. The day will finish with plenty of time for students to attend their after-school co-curricular commitments. We are excited about this opportunity for students to make a meaningful impact in the community!
- The last day to add or change a course is Friday, September 27, after the fall transition reports are released. Note that students may still drop a course or switch from an advanced course until Friday, October 26, however, making changes early is strongly recommended.
- We hope to see you for Fall Family Weekend on October 17-20! Please check the school website for an exciting schedule of events. While weekend passes are open to residential students beginning on October 17, many families choose to go on pass after programming on Saturday, as some students will have athletic and co-curricular commitments. For residents who stay on campus for the remainder of the weekend, there will be ample programming. Passes for the long weekend will be due by Wednesday, October 9.
