Carmel Campus Updates

Lower and Middle Divisions

  • Our next Parent Association meeting will be held on Monday, October 7, in the Middle School Amphitheater at 8:30 a.m. All parents and guardians are welcome. Future Parent Association meeting dates are November 4 and December 9.
  •  Our next Lower and Middle Division Assembly will take place on Tuesday, October 8, at the Carmel Campus Amphitheater. All families of Lower and Middle Division students are invited to join us for this special event. Please note that all of our calendared Lower and Middle Division assemblies, including this one, will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. There will be a late start only for the Lower Division and no late start for the Middle Division on this day, with the assembly beginning at 8:45 a.m. for all students in the Lower and Middle Divisions.
  • The Carmel Campus is hosting a Flu Clinic on October 10, from 8:30-11:00 am. You can register here. Please reach out to our campus nurse, Heidi Ley, with any questions.
  • Reminder: There is no school October 11 as our teachers are preparing for conferences the following week. Please refer to your Pirate Pages for information regarding upcoming conferences on October 17-19. If you haven't already done so, please register for a time slot to meet with your child's teachers to discuss their progress at school during conferences. Information regarding conferences and other offerings during Stevenson Family Weekend are shared on your Pirate Page.   • During Fall Family Weekend, we encourage all parents and families to attend the State of the School Address by Chair of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Cynthia B. Chapman '83, and our President, Dr. Dan Griffiths, on Thursday, October 17, from 5:15-6:00 p.m. in the Erdman Chapel at the Pebble Beach Campus. This address is relevant for Stevenson families in all divisions.

Lower Division

  • Due to our Spanish teacher, Marta Navarro-Gaspar, remaining on leave, there will be no conferences available with the Spanish instructor during the fall conferences. Please also note that Kirsten Matsumoto, who has been covering for Marta, will be unavailable as she will be away during this time. Starting October 14, Liz Bush will take over the Spanish program until Marta returns. For any questions, please contact Nifemi Ogunsuyi.
  • We have added two additional Lower Division Assembly dates that were not previously communicated: Friday, October 25, and Friday, November 15. All families are invited to attend, with assemblies beginning at 8:15 a.m. on both dates.

Middle Division

  • Middle Division Parents, all are welcome at Stevenson's Fall Family Weekend. Please also refer to your Pirate Pages for information regarding upcoming conferences, October 17-19.
  • Mark your calendars. We will host a second Middle Division Math Information Night, focused primarily on grades 5 and 6 on October 15 at 5:00 p.m.  More information will be shared soon.

Pebble Beach Campus Updates
  • The Flu Clinic on Tuesday, October 8, will take place from 10:00 to 1:30 p.m. in the lot behind the Health Center. In collaboration with Central Avenue Pharmacy, we will be offering flu vaccines to students who provide parental consent as well as faculty. This clinic on October 8 will be just for the flu vaccine. We are having a second clinic on October 24 for flu and possibly COVID vaccines as well.
  • Attend our Senior Parent/Guardian Coffee on Tuesday, October 8, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. PT. Co-Directors of College Counseling, Martha Allen and Jon Burke, will host a virtual Senior Parent/Guardian coffee discussion. Register on your Pirate Page. The recording will be shared on family Pirate Pages.
  • Join our Junior Parent/Guardian College Night on Tuesday, October 8, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. PT. Co-Directors of College Counseling, Martha Allen and Jon Burke, will host a virtual Junior Parent/Guardian College Night. Register on your Pirate Page. The recording will be shared on family Pirate Pages.
  • Resident families: Passes for Family Weekend are due Wednesday, October 9, at 11:59 p.m. Students are welcome to leave campus on Wednesday, October 16, after school commitments; they should plan to return to campus no later than 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.
  • Grade 9 field trips will take place on Monday, October 14, and Tuesday, October 15: 9th grade students will depart from the front circle at 7:30 a.m. on the day they have science class on their regular schedule and at 8:30 a.m. on the day that they do not have science class. Students will return in time to participate in co-curricular activities.
  • Reminder: Conference sign-ups are now live and can be accessed on your Pirate Page.
  • Reminder for resident families: If you wish to reserve a spot on the shuttle for your student for Thanksgiving Break, you can use this form. Availability is first-come-first serve, and sign-ups will close on Friday, November 8.

  • There is no school on October 11, as this is a faculty report writing day in preparation for our Fall Family Weekend.
  • Stevenson Admissions is hosting a reception for prospective families in San Francisco on Wednesday, October 9, at 6:30 p.m. We invite you to share this flyer (Nathan can you add link) with families you know who might be interested in attending.
