Lower and Middle Divisions
- Regular Late Start on October 29: This Wednesday, school starts at 8:45 a.m. for Lower Division and 9 a.m. for Middle Division.
- Halloween Celebration: Our annual Halloween celebration will take place this Friday, October 31, and families are invited to join the parade and carnival! The parade will take place from 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.; our carnival will end at 3 p.m. Important: We are still seeking parent volunteers to help with setting up and running our Halloween carnival stations. Please click here to sign up. We appreciate your help in making this Halloween unforgettable and safe.
- Safety Reminder: Please drive slowly and carefully in the neighborhood when you are dropping off and picking up your kids from school. Some of our neighbors have shared that parents/guardians drive too fast on Dolores St. These families are often walking their dogs or bringing their own children to school. We appreciate your help with this to ensure we are good and safe neighbors.

We are so grateful for her contributions to the Pre-K classroom and wish her all the best in her next chapter. We're delighted to welcome Miss Emma to our team. She has already joined the class to continue all the wonderful learning and play that define our Pre-K community.
- Halloween Reminders: As your child plans their costume, please keep the following guidelines in mind.
- Costumes should allow students to independently get in and out of them to use the restroom.
- No masks or face coverings.
- No political figures or costumes referencing political themes.
- No weapons or weapon-like props of any kind.
Middle Division

Pebble Beach Campus Updates
|
- Health Center: Stevenson, along with Central Avenue Pharmacy, will be hosting our final flu clinic tomorrow. We highly recommend having your student vaccinated. If you would like your student to participate in the clinic, please fill out the consent form and return it to the Health Center at [email protected] by the end of the day today. We will be using student medical insurance, so there will be no cost to you.
- School Photos and Retake Day: You may view your student's photo, taken on Thursday, September 4, on the Generations School Photography website. You will need to find your online code by entering your student's 9 digit ID number, which can be found on your Pirate Page on the "Student" tab. Picture packages that are ordered will be mailed directly to your home. Students who did not have their picture taken on that day or would like to retake the photo will need to have their picture taken on retake day – this Wednesday, October 29, 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., in Reid Dining Hall. If you have questions, please contact Michelle Boatman.
- It's Halloween Week! To celebrate, we will host many activities for students on the Pebble Beach campus on Friday, October 31. During the day, we'll enjoy our annual costume contest, and the evening festivities will include trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, a "Halloweenies" cookout and a spooky movie night. Day students are also invited to join in the evening's festivities; events will wrap up by 10 p.m. The evening will be packed with fun! We ask that everyone be thoughtful in selecting a costume to ensure that they are in keeping with our core values and do not demean anyone or any group in particular. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Student Life Office.
- College Center News:
- College Fair at Carmel High School: All high school students and families are invited to attend this Tuesday, October 28, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., in the Carmel High gymnasium. The event is free and no registration is required. Boarding students who would like transportation to the event should contact Katie Bell to arrange a ride.

- Grades 10 and 11 – PSAT Scores: Students can access their scores through the College Board's BigFuture app, which they can download to their phone. From there, students and families are invited to attend an upcoming online event – "PSAT, Now What?"- with our partner, Revolution Prep, to learn about some possible next steps. Four dates are available; register here.
- Winter Sports: Keep an eye out for training updates from your coaches this week. As we move from fall to winter, the training schedule may vary, so don't hesitate to reach out to the Director of Athletics, Justin Clymo '93, with any questions. Students can plan to begin on November 3. Communication will be sent based on the sport selections listed in Pirate Pages. Athletes participating in fall interscholastic sports teams, theater and/or tech should complete their current season before transitioning to their winter sport. If you're involved in a non-interscholastic theater and/or tech, you'll need to officially check out with your current coach or director before starting winter training. Important Dates:
-
- Fall Intramurals End: November 7
- Winter Intramurals Begin: November 17
- Residential Life News – Airport Transportation for Residential Students: Thanksgiving break begins on Friday, November 21; all resident students must be off campus by noon on Saturday, November 22.
