  • Pirate Parents/Guardians are definitely a winning team! We are halfway through our October Annual Fund Campaign and our participation rate is growing. Please join the more than 117 Pirate Parents/Guardians who have contributed so far. You can make your gift online or by contacting Corine Mink '87, P '17, '23, & '26.

Carmel Campus Updates

Lower and Middle Divisions

  • Fall Family Weekend: Information regarding conferences and other offerings during Family Weekend is shared on your Pirate Page. Please visit the Fall Family Weekend page to see the list of special events and activities taking place for families. Especially important, we encourage all parents and families to attend the State of the School Address by Ms. Cynthia B. Chapman '83, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Dan Griffiths, President, on Thursday, October 17 from 5:15 p.m.-6:00 p.m. in the Erdman Memorial Chapel at the Pebble Beach Campus. This event is relevant for Stevenson families in all divisions.
  • As a reminder, there will be no school for students from Thursday, October 17, through Tuesday, October 22, due to parent-teacher conferences and our annual Fall Family Weekend. Classes will resume for all students on Wednesday, October 23.
  • Carmel Campus Halloween Celebration – We are excited to announce that our annual Halloween celebration will take place on Thursday, October 31. Families are invited to join in on the parade and carnival! The day will be filled with fun activities, starting with our beloved Halloween parade and culminating in a student-led carnival. The parade will take place from 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. On Friday, October 11 we distributed a detailed communication regarding the upcoming celebration. In addition to the communication, you will also find details on your Pirate Page.
  • NWEA Fall Map Assessments (Grades 3-8): We have now completed our fall assessments for all students in Grades 3-8. Teachers will discuss your child's performance during the upcoming parent-teacher conferences as part of the overall conversation around your child's progress. Family assessment reports will be posted to your parent Pirate Pages before conferences on October 16. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child's classroom teacher or our Director of Learning Support, Kate Bitter.

Lower Division

  • We will host a meeting for current Grade 1 families on Wednesday, October 16 from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. via Zoom to provide insights into what your children are learning and how they're progressing. We encourage all Grade 1 families to attend. If you haven't already done so, please register for the meeting [using this link.] We look forward to seeing you there!

Middle Division

  • Our next Family Math Information Night will be hosted virtually on Zoom by Mrs. Edwards on Tuesday, October 15 from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Please join us to learn more about the math program at Stevenson. This is designed for parents and guardians of students in Grades 5 and 6. Click here [insert link to register] to register.

Pebble Beach Campus Updates
  • Please note the early drop off for the grade 9 science field trip (departing at 7:30 a.m.) on Monday, October 14, or Tuesday, October 15 (see email for individualized schedule).
  • Fall midterm grades and comments: Students will receive individualized feedback from each of their teachers on the evening of Wednesday, October 16 in advance of Fall Family Weekend; midterm grades are indicators of current standing and will not be included on transcripts.
  • Residential Families: Passes for the long weekend were due this past Friday. Students who wish to go on pass over the long weekend may begin to leave campus after their final school commitment on Wednesday, October 16. They must return to the dorm by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.
  • Outdoor Education offers students opportunities to try something new, connect with peers and immerse themselves in nature. Coming up: Big Sur Trip (November 1 – November 3). This overnight backpacking and hiking adventure is ideal for students wanting a taste of Expo or to explore a stunning segment of the California Coast. Sign-ups will be sent to students via email on Monday, October 14.
