- Reflecting on Our Progress, Inspiring Our Future: Over the past month, we've celebrated remarkable transformations across Stevenson through our "Reflecting on Our Progress, Inspiring Our Future" celebration. As we conclude this look back at our achievements, we invite you to explore our vision for Stevenson's future on our new strategic priorities webpage. There, you'll discover how these foundational successes are shaping an even stronger tomorrow for our community.
- Summer Camp: Did you know that Stevenson offers five different camp options for the 2025 summer? In this edition of The Week Ahead, we're profiling one of those options – The Camp at Pebble Beach's Classic Sleepaway Camp, which is our traditional sleepaway camp. This two-week overnight camp offers enrichment workshops – STEAM, podcast creation and production, outdoor adventures, cooking, marine biology, just to name a few – plus fun nightly activities like bonfires and s'mores under the stars, movies and karaoke! This camp is for rising Grades 5-8 campers and runs for three sessions. Limited space available – visit our Stevenson Summer Camp pages for more information and to register.
- Spring Family Weekend: Spring Family Weekend is just around the corner – April 10-13! This special event is a cornerstone of the Stevenson experience, offering meaningful opportunities to connect with our vibrant school community. Your participation helps strengthen our community, and we look forward to seeing you there! For more information and a schedule of events, click here or visit your Pirate Pages.
- Spring Carnival: Join us for our annual carnival during Spring Family Weekend on April 12 from noon to 4 p.m.! Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with rides, games and treats. Wristbands are $15 for anyone over the age of 3, and little ones under 3 get in free. Bring the whole family and make some great memories! Buy tickets here. We'd love your help to make this event a success. If you're available to supervise booths and games, serve food or sell tickets, sign-up here to volunteer.
- No School: Monday, April 21, is a faculty in-service day so there will be no classes.

- April Parent Association Meeting: Our next meeting will be on Monday, April 7, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Updates for both divisions and from committees will be shared. This will be a virtual meeting; you may click here to join or via the link in the school calendar.
- Culture Fair: Mark your calendar for the Culture Fair on April 18. To ensure that we have a diverse representation of cultures, we encourage all interested participants to sign up here by April 1. Please contact Jacob Rivers with questions.
Lower Division
- Late Start: Tuesday, April 1, is a regular late start day. Lower Division classes begin at 8:45 a.m.
- Grade 4 Health Education: This week, Grade 4 students will participate in a health education series led by Nurse Heidi. Topics include hygiene, nutrition, sleep, internet safety, healthy communication and setting personal boundaries. This program helps prepare students for the Middle Division wellness curriculum and encourages open conversations around important life skills. We invite you to continue the dialogue at home. Helpful resources include:
- Toys Belong at Home: A friendly reminder that toys should not come to school with students. This includes trading cards, figurines, toy cars or games. Rubix cubes are considered a puzzle algorithm and are allowed with teachers' permission, only during certain times of the school day. If toys are found at school, they will be collected by the teacher for safekeeping and returned after school. Thank you for your partnership in reinforcing this message with your children.
Middle Division
- Late Start: Tuesday, April 1, is a regular late start day. Middle Division classes begin at 9 a.m.
- Grade 8 Important News: Attention parents/guardians, please review the following year-end information.
- Graduation Party: Please RSVP this week for the June 6 graduation party so that we may provide the venue a head count. We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2029 together with teachers, parents and students.
- Yearbook Photos: Time is running out – make sure to send your child's yearbook pictures to Jenn Wood as soon as possible to ensure they are included in the yearbook.
- Year-End Events: Check your email for a communication regarding the end-of-year events.

Conferences are available in person or online; sign up on your Pirate Page.
- Senior Events: Please make note of the following important dates for the Class of 2025.
- On April 15, seniors will attend an evening viewing of a documentary film by the University of Virginia's Gordie Center called HAZE, which tells the story of student Gordie Bailey and connects the dots between alcohol on campus and hazing.
- The Senior Luncheon is on April 16 at The Club at Pasadera. This is a special opportunity for seniors to gather with select administrators and faculty and marks the official kickoff to the graduation season. Seniors have received an email invitation with details. Students will attend first period before departing by bus and will return in time for co-curriculars.
- A reminder to refer to the 2025 graduation webpage for important dates and information for seniors and their families.
