All School Update
  • President's Weekend: This is a four-day holiday weekend next month. Classes will not be in session on either campus on Friday, Feb. 13 and Monday, Feb. 16.
  • 2026-2027 Academic Calendars: The calendars for next school year are now available on the Stevenson website. To download the calendars, click here and select "Carmel Campus 26-27" or "Pebble Beach Campus 26-27" from the drop-down menu in the upper right side of the page.
Carmel Campus Updates

Lower and Middle Divisions

  • Labeling Belongings: A reminder to please label your students' uniforms, snack boxes, water bottles, books and other belongings. Please have your child look for their lost items when the table is periodically set up in front of the administration office.

 

Lower Division

  • Assembly: Please join us for our next assembly this Friday, Jan. 30, at 8:15 a.m. We look forward to coming together as a community to celebrate student learning and share our Lower Division values.

 

Middle Division

  • Winter MAP Assessments: Reading and math assessments are scheduled for this Tuesday, Jan. 27 and Thursday, Jan. 29 from 8:10 a.m. to 9:40 a.m.  Please help your child prepare by ensuring they get a good night's rest and arrive at school on time. If you have any questions, please contact our Director of Learning Support Kate Bitter.
  • After-School Program Openings: The following Middle Division workshops have openings. Please email Maddy Springfield if your child is interested in joining!
    • Monday Art & Bakery Culture Crawl: Students will map out and visit local art galleries and exhibits while boosting the local bakery economy.
    • Wednesday Improv: Students practice public speaking, storytelling, teamwork and thinking on their feet while learning to listen, collaborate and embrace mistakes.
    • Friday Field Hockey: A beginner-friendly class where students are taught the fundamentals of field hockey by Coach McCormick, head field hockey coach at the Upper Division. Sticks are provided.
  • Register for Outdoor Education Opportunities: Please note the changed dates; a new email with the updated registration link will be sent.
    • Grade 7 Expedition at Henry Coe State Park: Thursday, April 9 – Friday, April 10. Facilitated by Galen Merigliano, Upper Division director of outdoor education.
    • Grade 8 Rafting Retreat on the South Fork of the American River: The dates for the trip were changed to Thursday, April 9 – Friday, April 10. Facilitated by American Whitewater Expeditions.

Pebble Beach Campus Updates
  • EXPO Initial Gear Check: This Tuesday, Jan. 27 or Wednesday, Jan. 28, 3:15 p.m.-6 p.m., all students must bring all of their gear to Rosen Stage to be checked.
  • X-Term Registration and Catalog Release: Registration will launch soon for Stevenson's two-week immersive, interdisciplinary learning experience for students in Grades 9-11. Registration will open by grade level: Grade 11 – last Friday, Jan. 23; Grade 10 – this Thursday, Jan. 29; Grade 9 – Friday, Feb. 6. On each date, families will receive a detailed description of the program, the full catalog of local and domestic courses, along with detailed instructions and deadlines. Dean of Co-curricular Education Erik Olson will be meeting with each grade to provide further information and details. This year's catalog features both returning favorites and several new offerings. X-Term will take place May 26-June 4, concluding with a required afternoon celebration on Thursday, June 4. Participation is a graduation requirement for all Grade 9-11 students. More information will be shared in a forthcoming email.
  • Spring Sports: The official start is Monday, Feb. 2. Students can find communication about their selected sport on their Pirate Page. Athletes involved in winter interscholastic sports, theater or tech must finish their current commitments before transitioning to spring sports. Those in non-interscholastic options should check out with their current coach before beginning spring activities. Winter intramurals end on Friday, Feb. 13 and spring intramurals start on Monday, Feb. 23.
  • College Center – Athletics Recruiting Night: On Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 7 p.m., Co-Director of College Counseling Jon Burke will share information to help student-athletes and their families better understand the college athletic recruiting process. This program is intended for families with students in Grades 9–11.
  • Grade 12 Parent/Guardian Transitions Event: Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 4. In-person attendees will meet in the Learning Commons at 6 p.m.; Zoom attendees can join at 6:30 p.m. College applications are complete and we will spend the time thinking both about how to savor these final months before graduation and how to partner in preparing our seniors for their next adventures. We will also use the opportunity to talk through the logistics of graduation week and all of the celebrations that lie ahead. Register here.
  • Lunar New Year Monday Night Dinner and Vespers: On Monday, Feb. 9, students will enjoy traditional Asian cuisine and musical performances, and Vespers speeches given by members of our Asian American and Pacific Islander community. Day students are welcome to attend and should email the Director of Residential Life Marykate Colao to reserve their spot.The evening will begin at 5:45 p.m. and conclude around 8 p.m. 
  • Residential Life: Passes for the long President's Day weekend (Friday, Feb. 13 – Monday, Feb. 16) are due by Monday, Feb. 9. Students are able to leave after all commitments on Thursday, Feb. 12, and need to be back on campus by 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16. Classes resume Tuesday, Feb. 17.
