Lower and Middle Division
- Los Angeles Fires Support: We are grateful for the outpouring of support for the Village School in Pacific Palisades! Our families shared many boxes of books and supplies to help with stocking the library shelves in their temporary learning space. Stevenson once again showed who we are – thank you!
- Late Start Reminder: Tuesday, February 4, remains a regular late start day for both Lower and Middle Division students. School begins at:
- 8:40 a.m. for Lower Division.
- 9 a.m. for Middle Division.
- Parent Association Meeting: All parents are invited to join the next session on Zoom, Monday, February 10, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Please note the date change from February 3 to February 10.
- Dance Team Competition: Best wishes to our Dance team as they begin their competition season! Under the leadership of dedicated teacher Jahnna Biddle De La Rosa, our dancers from Grades 4-12 will be competing in the Applause Dance Competition in San Mateo the weekend of February 7. This is a fantastic opportunity for our dancers to showcase their hard work, passion and teamwork on a big stage.
Lower Division
- Field Trips: Field trips to the Monterey Bay Aquarium are next week!
- PK: Thursday, February 6; departing at 10:15 a.m., returning by 1 p.m.
- Kindergarten: Wednesday, February 5; departing at 8:30 a.m., returning by 11:30 a.m.

- Grade 3: Friday, February 7; departing at 10 a.m., returning by 2 p.m.
- Spring Roundtables: A reminder to take the survey that was emailed last week. We hope to achieve high participation, as this will help us better understand the needs of your student and family as we organize roundtable discussions with Lower Division parents/guardians. If you have already submitted your survey, thank you! If you have not yet completed the survey, please do so by February 4. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with you.
Middle Division
- Correction: Mr. Parker made a mistake in last week's Week Ahead and named the incorrect student who was selected as the principal violinist (1st Chair) at the CCS Middle School Honors Orchestra. That exceptional musician is Ella Mikus. We are sorry for the error, Ella, and celebrate your accomplishment.
- Dress Guidelines: Parents/guardians, please make sure your student is dressed appropriately for school. We are examining some additions to the dress guidelines and need your help. Our kids grow fast, so please check the length of skirts, the proper fit of shirts and that only Stevenson outerwear is worn. Students who are out of dress code will receive a warning and then a consequence, which may necessitate you bringing appropriate school clothes. Also, please label all outerwear and water bottles. Labeled items are much easier for us to return to their owners. We will be sending home machine-washable clothing labels mid-week to help. Students who leave clothes in the hallways and playground will help us during free time.
