All School Update
  • Community Outreach: Dr. Casey Grover and Nurse Erica Sanborn will distribute Narcan nasal spray dispensers on December 9, 3-4:30 p.m. at Douglas Hall, Pebble Beach Campus. All parents and only Upper Division students can receive Narcan, with an opt-out option which will be made available via email. This preventative measure supports community safety and is not due to any campus incidents. Contact Sarah Koshi for logistics or Erica Sanborn for Narcan-related questions. Learn more here.
  • PK-12 Parent/Guardian Holiday Mingle: Please join us for a holiday reception in Douglas Hall on Friday, December 13 at 5:00 p.m., prior to the Celebration of Light performance. Register here. If you're not attending the performance you can still pop in for a cup of holiday cheer! Please note: This is an adults-only event.
  • PK-12 Parent/Guardian Cookie Exchange: Please join us for this special event on Thursday, December 19, 10:30 a.m. – noon, on the Chapel Deck. All PK-12 parents/guardians are welcome!   • Holiday Singalong: Join our community Holiday Singalong on Thursday, December 19, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Douglas Hall for an evening of festive music and holiday cheer. All are welcome!
  • Donate to Braxton's Toys: This program honors Braxton Stuntz '18, a beloved Stevenson student known for his compassion and care. Established by his parents, the Braxton Stuntz Foundation has received heartfelt support from the Stevenson community. Help sustain Braxton's legacy by donating a holiday gift. Donation bins are located at the Carmel Campus administrative office and in Douglas Hall and Rosen Center at the Pebble Beach campus until Friday, December 20.   • Athletics Reminder: You can find all winter sports schedule details here. If you would like to subscribe to specific team calendars, click here for links. For those attending games on campus, please adhere to our parking and dog policies (i.e., dogs are not permitted).
  • Fall Family Weekend Survey: Thank you to those who completed the survey; we sincerely appreciate your time and feedback. Carmel Campus Updates

Lower and Middle Division

 

  • Parent Association Wine and Cheese Event: We look forward to seeing you at our wine and cheese event tomorrow, December 9, 6 p.m. –  7:15 p.m., on the Middle Division patio. We are excited to launch our Parent Association committee work for the year to connect, share ideas and strengthen our community.
  • Lower and Middle Divisions Assembly: Join us for the Lower and Middle Divisions Assembly on Tuesday, December 10, at 8:45 a.m. in the Amphitheater. While morning free play starts at 7:30 a.m. for grades K-8, we recommend drop-off around 8:00 a.m.
  • Holiday Performance Rehearsals (Grades 1-8):
    • December 9-11: Students will be bused from Carmel to Pebble Beach Campus for scheduled rehearsals. Teachers will communicate details with you, as needed.
    • December 12: Drop off at Douglas Hall, Pebble Beach at 7:30 a.m. (not Carmel Campus) where our team will receive students. Students will rehearse at Keck and return to Carmel by lunchtime via school bus. More details coming soon.
  • Holiday Box Drive: The Middle Division Service Advisory Group is leading a heartwarming Holiday Box Drive to support 20 local families. Elementary classrooms, Middle Division advisories, and Mr. Graham's Upper Division advisory will each adopt a family. Students are encouraged to bring donations (click here to see the list of items) to their classrooms by Monday, December 16, for delivery starting December 19.     • December 13, 7:30 p.m.: Holiday Performance Reception and Art Installation in Rosen Student Center
    • December 19, 10:30 a.m.: PK-12 Parent/Guardian Holiday Cookie Exchange on the Chapel Deck
    • December 19, 5:00 p.m.: Pre-K and Kindergarten Holiday Performance in Douglas Hall
    • December 19, 6:30 p.m.: Holiday Singalong in Douglas Hall
  • Pickup Changes for Friday, December 13: Due to the Celebration of Sound and Light performances, below is the carline schedule for grades 1-8 at the Carmel Campus and student check-in at the Pebble Beach campus at 5 p.m. There will be no after-school programming for grades 1-8 to allow families to prepare for the performances. Pick-up must occur during these times:
    • Grades 1-4 carline: 3 p.m.
    • Grades 5-8 carline: 3:15 p.m.
    • Faculty children's bus: 3:15 p.m.
    • After-care for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten: available until 4 p.m.
  • After School Workshops: Current after school workshops will run until winter break; new workshops will begin on January 13. More information on the new workshops will be available on your Pirate page this Friday, December 13, including how to register. Placements will be made after winter break.

Middle Division

  • Celebration of Sound and Light: Our Middle Division arts program will make a very special appearance at the Celebration of Sound and Light on December 13. Every Middle Division artist will be showcasing their talent in fine arts and/or dance. Please plan accordingly. We are so proud of our artists and their teachers!
  • Grade 7 STEM Car Show: Grade 7 students are excited to showcase their diligently crafted rubber-band-powered cars and engineering reports. Families are invited to see these impressive demonstrations and participate in Q&A sessions with their young engineers in Room 2 at these times:
    • Section 7A: Wednesday, December 11, 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
    • Section 7B: Tuesday, December 10, 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
    • Section 7C:  Tuesday, December 10, 9:20 a.m. – 9:50 a.m. (students will have a few minutes after assembly to transition and be ready).

Lower Division

  • Early Dismissal: On December 19, Pre-K dismisses at 2:45 p.m. and Kindergarten at 3 p.m., with no after-school care available, to prepare for the Holiday Performance. Parents are advised to park on nearby streets to avoid traffic. Early pickups can be arranged with teachers.
  • Holiday Book Exchange: Lower Division students are invited to participate in a holiday book exchange on Friday, December 20, followed by a class holiday celebration. Students should bring a new, wrapped book by Wednesday, December 18.

Pebble Beach Campus Updates
  • Fall Final Assessments: Final assessments run December 16-20 before winter break. All class meetings during this week are mandatory with no exceptions for travel plans.
  • December Community Close: Final H period exams end at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 20, followed by community activities until 2 p.m., when students are dismissed for winter break.
  • December Dorm Closure: Students must leave dorms by noon on Saturday, December 21 and can return Sunday afternoon, January 5, with classes resuming January 6, 2025. Airport shuttles to San Jose and San Francisco are available, with reservations due by Friday, December 13.
