Dear Colleagues,

As we approach Fall Family Weekend, it seems appropriate to take stock of the successful opening of the school year. We all know that what appears effortless to students and their families actually involves an extraordinary amount of effort across all areas of the School and I want to thank each of you for your role in that success.

I'd also like to call to your attention the arrival of new colleagues, some of whom had the opportunity to introduce themselves at the school opening breakfast. Please join me in welcoming the newest members of our community and be sure to introduce yourself when you see them on campus. As always, there are also a few occasions of note to celebrate with current employees.

I hope you all have the chance to rest and recharge over the brief Family Weekend break – only a month or so to go until Thanksgiving!

Making the move from Carmel to Pebble Beach, Andy Graham is now part of the upper division math department. 

Stacey Cimoli can now also be found on the Pebble Beach campus in the role of executive assistant to the office of the head of upper division. 

Stacey's move created an opportunity for Jackie DiYanni to put her high level administrative background to very good use in her new role of administrative manager and registrar, lower and middle divisions. 

And although Shanae Vaifanua-Pace is no longer a daily presence on campus, we are happy that she is still part of the Stevenson team as assistant director of admissions, upper division. Working remotely, Shanae will conduct virtual interviews with prospective international students and their families.

Following the loss of a grandparent and subsequent availability of a family home in Northern California, Annika and Alex Pattenaude made the difficult decision to leave Stevenson. Happily they and Augie are now surrounded by extended family and recently visited the Carmel Campus for the pancake breakfast. 

Allyson Schut has moved to the public school district so that she and her family will be able to enjoy vacation together during school breaks as her schedule will now align with her kids' schedule. 

Gerri Dicconson also departed over the summer to pursue other opportunities in the local community. 

We wish Gerri, Annika, Alex, and Allyson all the best in their new endeavors.

Congratulations to Deirdre Newell, who is now Deirdre Laurence. She and her long-time partner, Tommy, parents to kindergarten Pirate Tadgh, married in August in Vermont.

Congratulations also to Bo and Natasha Buller who welcomed daughter Kennedy Grace on July 4, 2024, making Brooklyn a big sister!
