“In true Pirate spirit, we don’t let anything stop us from celebrating the eighth-graders and their transition to high school,” said Molly Bozzo, head of the lower and middle divisions. And so, on June 5 at 10:00 a.m., Grade 8 students and their families joined the faculty, staff, and administration of the lower and middle divisions for a celebration unlike any we have seen before. Amid a chorus of honking horns and cowbells, families created a circle of cars on Wilson Field and cheered from their windows and sunroofs as students walked to the center of the circle—each to their favorite walk-up song—to collect their diplomas. While space was limited to one car per family, we’ve created a highlight video for our community and our graduates’ extended families to enjoy the event. Watch the Grade 8 Graduation highlight video and view photos of the ceremony on the End of Year Celebrations page.
