Welcome back to the 2023-2024 school year. This year, the school received 276 athletes early for pre-season training, with the football team arriving for work on August 7th and the other fall sports beginning a week later. We continue to field a full slate of sports in the fall, offering football, boys cross country, boys water polo, girls volleyball, girls tennis, girls golf, girls water polo, field hockey, and girls cross country in addition to our dance team, which is entering year three of existence.
The SFB Morse Fine & Performing Arts are already buzzing with creative energy this fall across the Pebble Beach Campus. Enrollment is at an all-time high in Architecture (35 students!), Making Movies, AP Studio Art & 2D Design, Ceramics, Photography, Digital Art, and our recently added Theater Tech Design: Costumes & Scenes.
We found a free period on the first day of the 2023/24 school year to catch up with Germano Diniz ‘88. He is the math department chair, resident faculty member, football coach, current Pirate parent…and a touchstone to decades of Stevenson alumni and students.
We recently interrupted Natalia Ochoa-Zavala’s MCAT studies over the summer to talk about her Stevenson journey, her studies at Santa Clara University (she will complete a degree in neuroscience this spring), and her bright future in medicine.
Two delicious recipes from Reid Hall.
Sophomores return to Douglas Hall at about 12:30 pm!
