4:00 – 4:20 p.m. Reception and welcome from the head of the lower division
4:20 p.m. Transition to classrooms
Join the lower division grade-level teachers to connect and learn about your child’s exciting months of academic, social, and emotional growth. Families will have an opportunity to visit grade-level classrooms and learn about the student experience. Our priority for this event is to help you get acquainted with your child’s daily academic routines, our reading, writing, math, Social Studies and SEL curriculums, assessment practices, and ways to bridge the home- to school- connection in order to support you in being partners with us in educating your child.
Please note that childcare will be provided in the form of free play on the playground.
Middle Division Details
Location: Middle School Patio
Schedule
5:00 – 5:15 p.m. Welcome reception at the middle school patio
5:15 – 7:30 p.m. Transition to classrooms
Join the middle division faculty to connect and learn about your child’s enriching year of academic, social, and emotional growth. Our goal is to orient families to your children’s teachers and hear more about the grade-specific educational journey they will take together this year.
Important Notes
- Individual conferences are not available during this event; these will be scheduled for October.
- Regular dismissal procedures apply on the day of the event.
- After-school care is available for all students who need it. More information is forthcoming on sign-ups for care during Back to School Night

Pebble Beach Campus
Wednesday, September 10 | 4:30 p.m.
Back-to-School Night for the upper division is an in-person event and an opportunity to learn about each of your child’s classes. The evening begins at 4:30pm with a reception hosted by the Pirate Parent Club, followed by administrator remarks at 5:30. Families will then follow their child’s class schedule. Those unable to be on campus may watch a livestream of opening remarks (a recording will be available as well), and then will receive a written communication from each of their child’s teachers introducing their course. Back-to-school night is a prelude to Fall Family Weekend, when families meet individually with each teacher to discuss their student’s growth.

Upper Division Details
Location: Pebble Beach Campus
Schedule
4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Reception in Rosen Family Student Center. Please stop by Rosen Stage for a name tag and campus map before joining the reception.
5:30 p.m. Administrators’ welcome in Rosen amphitheater (the link to a livestream of these remarks will be updated here before the event).
6:00 – 7:55 p.m. Families follow their child’s schedule with opportunities to connect with program leads in Rosen during “open study” periods. Families will receive individualized schedules on their Pirate Pages before the event, including classroom locations.
